The project consortium consists of twelve partners, eleven of these are from target countries and one from the UK. The consortium includes the following organisations:
- Educational and academic research institutions: Budapest University of Technology and Economics (Hungary) and Politecnico di Torino (Italy). They have extensive research and application experience in the field of energy efficiency in buildings, nZEB, energy retrofitting and energy audits for public buildings. They are also responsible for developing their own countries’ case study.
- Research and energy policy institutions: BSЕRC (Bulgaria), CRES (GR), EIHP (Croatia), IREC (Spain), URBAN-INCERC (Romania), LNEG (Portugal), ZRMK (Slovenia). They are also responsible for developing their own countries’ case study.
- Energy policy developers: CTI Energy and Environment (Italy), which is the Project Coordinator and MACEF (the former YR of Macedonia). They both have experience in developing and implementing energy policy and legislation on a national and European level. They have provided technical support during the development phase of the current nZEB/buildings policies. They are therefore well placed to oversee the implementation of this project and encourage the adaption of best practice across the relevant European countries. They will also develop the case studies for Italy and the former YR.
- Research and policy institute based in Northern Europe: Building Research Establishment (UK). BRE have experience in developing and implementing energy policy and legislation on a national and European level. BRE provided technical support to the current nZEB/building policies. They are therefore well placed to support the implementation of this project and encourage the adaption of best practice across the relevant European countries.
